Selena Beal is a veteran of the New York based film industry and mom of two living and learning outside of school. As an entrepreneur interested in fostering small ways to shift the paradigm, Selena founded The Workaround in 2015 as a flexible, customizable childcare option for new families in North Brooklyn.
Sandhya Jain-Patelis Head of Christie’s Indian, Himalayan and Southeast Asian Art department. She lives in north Brooklyn with her husband and two children where she participates the highly sophisticated nanny share lovingly dubbed "Kidmandu"
Luigi Ciaccialives in Greenpoint with his wife and two boys ages 5 and 2.5. He and his wife run a local design studio while their children attend school and daycare in the neighborhood. He enjoys the challenges and benefits of community based living with his family.
Michi Turner is a freelance designer/illustrator. She co-founded Pencil Dot String, a creative firm, with a fellow mom. Her 2 children have been involved in nanny-shares, daycare, co-ops, the workaround, and public school. She looks forward to discussing what she has learned navigating her children's early years while working from home.
