Finding the Fun in Feeding : Strategies For Your Picky Eater

Join Danielle MacCourtney, pediatric Occupational Therapist and Nicole Dobranski, pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in a seminar on finding the fun in feeding. Together, they will discuss differences between picky eating and problem feeding behaviors, strategies to improve mealtime and ideas for playing with food while exploring taste, texture and variety in food groups. Danielle and Nicole will discuss the required skills, behaviors and social factors for making mealtime fun. From an OT standpoint, Danielle will touch on the sensory and postural components of feeding while Nicole will dig deep into the mechanical skills necessary for feeding. There will be a question and answer segment at the end of the seminar to help problem solve challenging situations and to discuss concerns relating to mealtime success.
