Meghan Mahar is a Certified Birth Doula CD(DONA), Postpartum Doula PCD(DONA), Certified Lactation Counselor(CLC), Certified Educator of Infant Massage(CEIM), Practitioner of Bach Flower Therapy and a Lamaze-Certified Childbirth Educator(LCCE). Meghan has been working as a doula since 2006 but has been caring for babies all of her life. After moving to New York in 2001, Meghan became interested in doula work and after graduating from The New School with a degree in Creative Writing, started on her doula path. Meghan has attended over 150+ births in New York City and the surrounding boroughs. In 2012 Meghan began a Masters Program in Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. Upon graduation Meghan looks forward to incorporating acupuncture and Chinese herbs into her work with expectant women and their families.
