Before nursing, babies can be weighed on a digital scale to help assess how much milk the baby is taking from the breast.
Registration is strongly recommended! Seating is limited to 6 mothers per clinic.

Patricia McGuire is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC). She has been assisting mothers and babies since 2003. Along with her private practice, Patricia works on the maternity floor at Beth Israel Hospital and teaches breastfeeding and newborn care classes at The Breastfeeding Center of Manhattan. She is currently studying public heath and media at CUNY.
Eden Bertrang is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in private practice in Brooklyn and Manhattan. She is also a certified cooperative childbirth educator and DONA-certified labor support doula. During her training, Eden participated in the Mt. Sinai Beth Israel Lactation Internship program and was supervised by some of NYC’s most experienced lactation consultants. She also completed the Midwifery Assistant Training with Ina May Gaskin at The Farm and in 2010, traveled to Senegal to volunteer in a maternity clinic. Eden currently serves as the President on the Board of Directors for the Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York (CEA/MNY) and is a member of the New York Lactation Consultants Association (NYLCA), the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA), and the United States Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA).
Rachel King is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant serving Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. The birth of her first child 7 years ago lead to an interest in helping mothers and babies with breastfeeding. Soon after, she left her career in the fine art industry to pursue doula work and breastfeeding counseling. Rachel is a DONA International certified birth doula, a Certified Lactation Counselor, and a Reiki Master. She has completed advanced doula training with Ina May Gaskin and Debra Pascali-Bonaro, and is also a Hypnobirthing certified labor support person. Rachel is a member of the New York Lactation Consultants Association (NYLCA) and the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA).
