Testimonial

My son and I attended Greg’s Rocking Chair Music classes for many months in 2016, and I credit Greg – with his charismatic performances and approachable attitude – with helping to draw my son out of his extremely shy shell. Though my son was too reserved to truly participate in the main portion of the class, after each performance – when most of the other babies/toddlers had left the room – Greg took the time to leave his guitar out and let my son go over to it and explore it at his own pace. He is exceptionally thoughtful and generous with his time, and my son benefited greatly from his classes!

Meet Greg!

Greg Stare Headshot

Greg studied drums and percussion at The University of Southern California and Boys and Girls Harbor in Harlem and has attended master classes abroad in Cuba and the Dominican Republic. He has toured and recorded internationally and performed at the Montreal Jazz and Calgary Folk Festivals and the Musique de Nuit in Bordeaux to name a few.

After having his first son in 2009, Greg began playing children's songs at home on his ukelele and eventually began the Rocking Chair Music Sing-along at Wild Was Mama, a shop he helped open with his wife, Adriane Stare in 2011.
